Why Errand Girl?
Sometimes you just need a reliable person there to handle the little things.
I was inspired to start Errand Girl Events after my own wedding and years of hosting gatherings, where I kept noticing the same gap. Not everyone needs—or wants—a full planner or a traditional coordinator for their events. Some people genuinely enjoy being hands-on, shaping the details themselves. But even then, there are always loose ends—small but important tasks that fall outside the usual scope of other professionals, and therefore—fall into the laps of the host.
That gap is where I come in.
Errand Girl Events is designed for the in-between—for when you need an extra set of hands to keep things moving the day of your event. I’m there to step in, take things off your plate, and handle whatever needs handling so you can stay present.
Weddings, dinner parties, bachelorette weekends, bridal showers, vacation home stays, reunions—any gathering you want to feel seamless without carrying the full weight of it yourself.
I’m not here to replace planners or coordinators. I happily work alongside them, supporting the parts of the day that don’t fall neatly into anyone else’s role—the in-between moments, the last-minute needs, the small details that keep everything taken care of.
Think of me as your on-the-ground, day-of support system—part helper, part runner, part problem-solver.
How errand girl compares
Example Task List
Running out for coffee, pastries, groceries, or a last-minute lunch
Going back for the phone, charger, jacket, shoes—or anything someone forgot
Making sure the host or bride has eaten, has water, and isn’t doing everything themselves
Restocking drinks, ice, and snacks
Band-aids, bobby pins, safety pins, sunscreen, bug spray, stain remover—whatever’s needed, when it’s needed
Setting things out, refreshing spaces, clearing what’s piling up, keeping things feeling put together, starting the dishwasher
Moving bags, boxes, groceries, welcome items, or supplies from place to place
General declutterring of the main hosting space
Running between the house, the store, and wherever else something needs to be
Checking in on people—grabbing a sweater if someone’s cold, helping older guests get settled, making sure everyone’s comfortable
Snapping group photos so no one gets left out
